Mustafa Serhat KAŞIKARA, one of our founders, received his first prize in the "5th Social Sciences Incentive Award Competition" at a ceremony held in Ankara.
KAŞIKARA, who participated in the competition, which attracted nationwide participation from various fields of social sciences, with his master's thesis titled "Responsibility of States arising from Space Activities", was deemed worthy of the best thesis award as a result of the competition and won the first prize.
KAŞIKARA said, "Space activities, in which the world in general and Turkey in particular are frequently involved, are increasing in popularity day by day, and this situation has become a space race between states and is a subject of great importance. In this respect, space activities are also becoming an indicator of prestige for states. In the light of the extraordinary changes and technological developments realized with the advancement of knowledge throughout the world, space activities have reached an indispensable point today. In terms of our country, such breakthroughs in recent years have led to very successful results and these successful results have brought very beneficial effects."
KAŞIKARA added that he concluded his master's thesis with a study on Space Law due to the importance of the subject.
